TTF Funds Accommodation Facilities for Africa Canoe and Kayak Championships at Masinga Dam

The Tourism Trust Fund, (TTF) today officially handed over an accommodation site at Masinga Dam for the development of water sports tourism in Kenya.



Structure

In April 2002, a Board of Trustees (BoT) was created with responsibility for overseeing the implementation of the two programmes. The Board was constituted a representative from each of the following organisations or interest groups:

  • Ministry of Tourism & Wildlife.
  • The National Authorising Officer, Ministry of Finance.
  • Delegation of the European Commission in Kenya.
  • Wildlife/Landowners Forum.
  • Group Ranches Associations.
  • Kenya Tourism Federation.
  • Sector-relevant NGOs.

Each body represented nominates one Trustee and normally one Alternate Trustee. For a full list of our Board please click here

The Board employs a Management Unit (MU) and Technical Assistance and Consultancy Services to carry out the day-to-day operations of the TTF.

The TTF CEO, Dr. Dan Kagagi, oversees organizational strategy, planning and office management.

Financial and Administrative management is provided by Elizabeth Musyoka. 

A programme manager and technical advisor, Mr. John Duffy, assists with programme guidance.

Sammy Kibet, the Tourism Development manager, oversees the Tourism Institutional Strengthening and Market Promotion Programme (TISMPP), dealing with destination marketing, tourism planning and policy.

Wangechi Mwai, the Business Advisory services manager, oversees the Tourism Diversification and Sustainable Development Programme (TDSDP), handling local project funding, development and consultancy, supported by Francis Agoya, the Business Advisory Services Officer.

The office has supporting office Adminstration, Finance and IT staff.
